Feature Release Recap

This version of Release Notes provides a quick review of the previous releases and also includes some minor releases not previously included in Release Notes. 

Minor Features & Updates 

  • When downloading a report from the GRID, the default name is useful and user-friendly.
  • Windows Agent
    • Collects Windows Policy Settings for monitoring and reporting
    • Includes MAC address, IP, and hostname 
  • Watchers can be added from the initial creation of the incident.
  • Task Schedule list provides an 'Owner' column
  • GRID supports Yubikey for 2FA logins
  • Deleted charts can be restored
  • Tasks can be cloned
  • Saved Searches can be deleted

5.16.18: Customizable columns, Deleting charts & searches

This release includes updates to the UI that increase ease of use and customization options.  The following features are now available:

  • Customize columns: decide what information is displayed when viewing tickets or searching events
  • Delete Saved Searches:  keep most used searches and clean up the list for easier selection
  • Delete Charts: keep only those charts directly relevant to reports
  • Fix: When adding FFIEC to a policy, there is a collapsable list with all domains and statements available. 

5.30.18: Clone tasks, pause triggers, and attach custom policies to tasks

This release includes updates to the UI that increase ease of use and customization options.  The following features are now available: 

  • Clone Tasks: allows you to make a copy of an existing task and make small adjustments. 
  • Pause Triggers: if you know of system downtime coming, you can pause a trigger to avoid multiple notifications.
  • Custom Policies & Tasks: Attach custom policies to tasks and see a count number to show which controls have an associated task

8.01.18: Custom Dashboards

This release includes updates to the Dashboard feature upon login to GRID UI. Customizable dashboards allow you to choose a selection of charts to add to your homepage. Multiple dashboards can be created for a variety of functional purposes; for example, you could have an overview dashboard, a dashboard specifically for board members, Fortinet Dashboard for Firewall monitoring etc.  Our experts have already created and added a Default Dashboard to your UI that we feel is useful to all customers. 

Below are the simplified process steps to create your new customized dashboard:

  1. Select Dashboards from the GRID UI homepage.
  2. Select the + sign.
  3. Name it, describe it, chose charts to be added. 
  4. Save.

8.29.18: Tasks,Triggers, Windows Agent

This release includes functionality updates that increase ease of use and customization options.  The following features are now available: 

  • Task Download: allows you to choose which tasks you want to download.
  • Schedule Triggers: if you have an activity you'd like to monitor during a specific time to reduce false positives, we now offer scheduling of triggers to look for activity only during that time frame.
  • Windows Agent: capability to notify you when a local user is created on a machine, and the ability to use a proxy directly

What do I need to do?

No action is required to benefit from these updates. However,  its always a good idea to visit the Downloads page to make sure your  DVM and Windows Agent are up to date.
